Shootme.camera was created in 2014 by camera/editor Jon Hughes

 

Jon has 20 year experience working in broadcast news and current affairs working for the BBC, CTV and APTN among others.  He has covered major stories such as the conflicts in Syria, Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan, Ukraine and Georgia.  He has lived and worked in Russia and Mexico and has covered international stories in some 50 countries.  As well as breaking news coverage, he has filmed, edited and produced longer documentaries and films for BBC World and BBC Newsnight.  He is also a former Head of Visual Content for ActionAid UK.

 

Through shootme.camera, Jon continues to work on high quality journalism, but also brings the benefit of his experience to corporate and not-for-profit organisations working in international development and humanitarian response.
